Where are you now? The starting self-check

Self-check 4 min

You will be able to: Get a starting score for your sleep habits and sleep knowledge, to compare at the end.

Answer for a typical week in the last month, not your best or worst night. There are no right answers: this is your starting line. You will take the same check at the end of the course and see the change side by side.

The first eight questions are about your sleep habits. The last four are about how well you could explain sleep to a friend today. Do not worry if those are low: that is what the course is for.

What is this self-check based on? The habit questions follow the areas that sleep researchers use to describe good sleep health: enough sleep, sleeping at the right time of day, falling asleep and staying asleep well, feeling alert in the day, and being satisfied with your sleep. We also ask about regularity (how much your wake-up time moves), which later research links to health. The wording and scoring are our own, for learning only.
